I have lived near a remote back highway in Central New Mexico for about five years and have noticed the terrific growth in the number of motorcycle riders who use that road for their Saturday and Sunday morning rides. They make a loop through the mountains and back to the city stopping for lunch along the way. It is not uncommon to see 15 to 20 bikers riding together as well as single riders and couples. Motorcycles have gained a respected place in this country and provide enjoyment for a wide variety of owners.
Along with the bigger road bikes, there has been a boom in the 2-cycle powered trial and motor-cross machines. Most of the folks around here have a trail bike or ATV that they use for local transport.
